There’s loads happening at Haymarket this half term, with FREE activities for families and young people to enjoy throughout the week.

🦴 Fossil Fun with Charnwood Forest Geopark

Saturday 14 – Monday 16 February

Step back in time this half term as The Charnwood Forest Geopark brings its brilliant Fossil Challenge to Haymarket.

Children (and grown-ups!) can help decorate 3,000 fossil models, inspired by real discoveries from Charnwood Forest. The finished fossils will become part of the magical Geopark in the Dark event at Bradgate Park this March ✨

📍 Location: First floor balcony. Time: 10am–4pm

🦕 Dino Day

Monday 16 February. 11am–3pm

Meet Deena the Dinosaur – Creature Encounters’ amazing animatronic Parasaurolophus – appearing alongside Ella the Cave Dweller on stilts.

Plus, enjoy a free dinosaur craft workshop with Mission Magpies on the first floor.

🎧 Youth Half-Term Sessions (Ages 15–20)

Tuesday 16 – Friday 19 February | 10am–2pm

Haymarket is also hosting FREE half-term sessions for young people aged 15–20, offering a relaxed space to learn new skills, get creative, and hang out with friends.

Activities include:
