Families are invited to join Haymarket’s half term Halloween event on Friday 20 October – if they dare.
The Leicester shopping centre has organised a Freaky Friday of free craft, stilts and children’s comedy to get youngsters prepared for Halloween.
There will be walkabouts from Bread and Butter Theatre’s Zombie Disco. The undead duo will provide plenty of ghoulish comedy, fun, games and terrifying Halloween tunes throughout the day. They will be judging the best Halloween costumes at 12pm and 2.30pm. They will be joined by pair of bouncy baby pumpkins characters, who will entertain youngsters, and a mad scientist and his giant freaky fly on stilts.
There will be fiendishly good facepainting at the event too.
Youngsters can create something scary for Halloween at the free make and take workshop on the first floor. There will be lots to choose from, including haunted houses, bats, cats, cobweb shields and scary masks.
And there will be a tricky trail to find eight bats hidden in shop windows to win a treat.
The event takes place on Friday 20 October between 11am and 3pm.
