Dinosaur Day

Dinosaur Day

Friday 28 July

Haymarket will be transported millions of years into the past at a special dinosaur event.

The centre is hosting a dinosaur themed day perfect for youngsters who are dinosaur mad. There will be baby dinosaurs to meet, prehistoric craft, facepainting and a dino trail around the shops. The stars of the day will be newly hatched baby dinosaurs - Rex Junior, Trixie Triceratops, and Bronte Brontosaurus. Children will be able to stroke them, talk to them and learn a bit more about them from their handlers.

There is even a giant ‘real’ dinosaur egg that children can pose for a photo inside.

The baby dinosaurs will be out for 20 minute walkabouts at 11.15am, 12.15pm, 1.15pm and 2.15pm.

Artworkers will be running a prehistoric Make and Take workshop from 11am to 3pm. Children can create pterodactyl puppets, spiky stegosaurus hats, mini brachiosaurus or triceratops masks. A giant Triceratops will also be made for youngsters to help decorate.
